Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect information such as your display name, email address, a securely hashed representation of your password, email-verification status, account timestamps, and records showing acceptance of V-Rio’s legal terms.

Subscription and transaction information

For subscriptions, we receive and store limited billing metadata such as plan, subscription status, credit balance, billing-period dates, and Stripe customer or subscription identifiers. Payment-card details are entered on Stripe-hosted pages; V-Rio does not store your full card number.

Creative content

We process prompts, chat messages, reference images, generated images, generated videos, and other content you submit or create through V-Rio. If you choose to save creations or chat history, V-Rio stores those items with your account so you can access them later.

Transactional email

We process your email address and the content necessary to send account-verification, password-reset, and other service emails.

Device and security information

V-Rio uses session cookies to keep you signed in. The optional remembered-account feature stores account names and email addresses in your browser’s local storage for faster account switching; it does not store your V-Rio password. Technical information such as an IP address may be processed for rate limiting, abuse prevention, security, and hosting operations.

2. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts; verify email addresses; authenticate sessions; provide V-Rio Copilot, image, video, creation-library, and comic features; process subscriptions and digital purchases; maintain credit balances; send transactional emails; prevent abuse and fraud; troubleshoot errors; enforce our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy; comply with law; and protect users, V-Rio, and service providers.

3. AI processing through xAI

V-Rio Copilot, Image Creator, and Video Studio use xAI services. Content submitted to those features—including prompts and, where applicable, reference images or conversation context—is transmitted to xAI so xAI can generate the requested result.

V-Rio currently uses stateful xAI responses for V-Rio Copilot so conversations can continue across turns. xAI’s API documentation states that API requests and responses may be retained on xAI systems for up to 30 days for abuse or misuse auditing, and xAI states that it does not train on API inputs or outputs without explicit permission. Do not submit sensitive personal information, protected health information, confidential information, or third-party personal data to AI tools unless you have determined that doing so is lawful and appropriate.

4. Payment processing through Stripe

Stripe processes subscription and digital-purchase payments on V-Rio’s behalf. Stripe may collect payment, billing, device, fraud-prevention, and transaction information under its own privacy practices. V-Rio receives transaction and subscription information needed to provide the purchased service. See the Stripe Privacy Policy.

5. Transactional email through Resend

V-Rio uses Resend to deliver account-verification, password-reset, and other transactional emails. V-Rio sends Resend the recipient address and email content needed for delivery. See the Resend Privacy Policy.

6. Other disclosures

We may disclose information to vendors and contractors that help operate V-Rio; when required by law, subpoena, court order, or valid governmental request; to investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or rights violations; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.

V-Rio does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that practice changes, this Policy and any legally required choices will be updated before the change applies.

7. Retention

Account data is generally retained while your account exists and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for security, billing, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention. Saved V-Rio chats remain until you delete them, request account deletion, or V-Rio removes them for operational, safety, or legal reasons. Saved creations may remain associated with your account until deletion is requested or operational retention requires removal.

Password-reset links expire after 30 minutes and email-verification links expire after 24 hours. V-Rio stores reset and verification tokens in hashed form. Third-party providers may apply their own retention periods to information they process.

8. Security

V-Rio uses safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access, including password hashing, hashed session tokens, email verification, time-limited single-use account-recovery tokens, request throttling, owner-only controls, protected creation URLs, and HTTPS-only cookie protections when deployed over HTTPS. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

You can delete individual saved V-Rio Copilot conversations from the chat-history interface. You may contact V-Rio to request access, correction, or deletion of account information. Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to V-Rio, you may have additional rights such as portability, restriction, objection, or appeal. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

10. Children

V-Rio is not directed to children under 13, and accounts may not be created for children under 13. If we learn that personal information was collected from a child under 13 in circumstances requiring removal, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. International processing

V-Rio and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those locations may have data-protection laws different from those where you live.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as V-Rio, our vendors, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.

13. Contact and privacy requests
